Human Resource Information System, known as HRIS, and job description are unconditional need in any kind of organization, because with proper, fast, and directional use of the HRIS and job description will make the organization be able to grow and maintain its existence. In an organization, the existence of human resources should be directed to a clear job descriptions, so that the main purposes of the organization can be achieved with the highest results.
This study discusses the influence of HRIS and job description to employee motivation at STIE Miftahul Huda Subang as an educational institution. The hypothesis in this study is H0, means there is no significant relationship between the independent variables (HRIS and job description) with the dependent variable (work motivation) and H1, means there is a significant relationship between the independent variables (HRIS and job description) with the dependent variable (work motivation).
Data obtained from this research by distributing questionnaires to the employees of STIE Miftahul Huda Subang showed the positive impact but low between HRIS on employee motivation in the amount of 27.7% and a positive influence but moderate of the job description to employee motivation at 44.8%. The simultaneous influence of these independent variables on employee motivation was 51.4%. All of these influences are in a positive category, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
